Trudeau Goes From Statesman to Carnival Worker: A Post‑National Parable Comes Full Circle

"Did anyone call a plumber? Because I'm not one. I just clog toilets."

Political floozy to Captain Carnival‑Ride, Canada’s former PM lands in his element

Justin Trudeau has always been a man in search of a stage, and Canada — poor, patient Canada — has spent more than a decade discovering that its prime minister was never auditioning for the role of statesman. He was auditioning for the role of Justin Trudeau.
A country was merely a backdrop, the plywood set, the lighting rig. And now, in 2026, as he dances through Home Hardware aisles with Katy Perry and appears in videos that look suspiciously like the B‑roll from a county fair, we finally see the truth: the man has found his natural habitat.

The Byelection of the Century in April

Terrebonne

On this long weekend in early spring, Canadians who didn’t expect to ever care about a Quebec byelection now find themselves oddly invested and transfixed. Some elections are sleepy affairs. Others are procedural reruns. Then along comes Terrebonne, Quebec, the federal riding that managed to turn a one‑vote margin, a misprinted envelope, and a Supreme Court ruling into the most interesting byelection of modern Canadian history.

Is Carney Telling the Truth?

Asking if he's gone full Pinocchio

Mark Carney says, on X.COM,
@MarkJCarney ·  "Unemployment is down, jobs and wages are up. We’re building big and empowering more Canadians with new careers.
Even with strong global headwinds, there is encouraging progress — and we are just getting started."

Point of the Spear in the Battle of Okinawa was a Canadian Man O War

More precisely it was the HMCS Uganda

"Like teetering on the raw edge of hell itself"

Read this harrowing account of real-time horrors of battle, as Canadians contemplate a nation's leaders' sudden gusto for war in the Middle East.

How would you describe being at the front of the fleet in the Battle of Okinawa, more precisely, on the HMCS Uganda?

Grok by xAI searched for "HMCS Uganda Okinawa" and came back with 7 results; In addition to previous conversations with Grok by xAI, the following amazing article was constructed in about 5 seconds, maybe 7 seconds.

Another day, another senseless terrorist attack on Jews in Israel

I decided the other day was the day to hear out the other side, so I listened to a X recording (see below) of Mohamad Fakih, C.M.,  speaking about the erasure of people in Gaza. In mid-discourse I was stopped, not a word of a lie, in the middle of listening to Fakih, because a news report flashed across my X-feed, forcing me to ask:

British journalist Douglas Murray has a blunt take on Israel’s strikes in Qatar
Grok. What happened today in Jerusalem?

It's as if God has impeccable timing for showing people off to be the buffoons, rapscallions, rakes, and deviants they really are.

It turns out, Mohamad Fakih could have been talking about the erasure of another day of peaceful existence in Jerusalem by Palestinian and Hamas-planned and executed atrocities against Jews:

GROK REPLIED: "The most significant event in Jerusalem today was a deadly terrorist shooting attack at Ramot Junction, a busy bus stop on the outskirts of the city near Golda Meir Boulevard.

A warning to rulers

Liberals book of rules

Tamara Lich, by now famous for the strange trial over mischief in the nation's Capital, said she doesn't agree with Prime Minister Carney having the authority to join the circle of hate against Israel.

Lich said, "No, he doesn’t. He has a minority government. An announcement of this magnitude, supposedly on behalf of Canadians, was not made after rigorous parliamentary debate or put to a vote," she wrote, on X, (@LichTamara), "Dictators behave this way."

@YoungGunsBreaks (as ever, anonymously) replies, "Yes, he does, you stupid windbag."

At this stage, I enter the fray.

Everything this Liberal Criminal Syndicate is doing falls outside the purview of Parliament.

Defying our allies, devaluing the personal property of Canadians, annihilating the social capital of our mobility in this country, strangling our nation, this whole Liberal game is something dark, and criminal. It needs to be stopped by the people of this country.

The Liberals know the Bloc is ready to bring down the government. That's why this government by fiat is taking place. It couldn't happen in a democracy.

I dare say, the trial of Tamara Lich and Chris Barber could not take place in a democracy.

Why would the Bloc be willing to bring down the Liberal minority?  Because the Bloc doesn't wish to be tied to the undertakings of these Liberal crime lords.

Now, Liberal pandering to terrorist organizations and terrorist sympathizers is being done, again, far outside the principles of Parliamentary democracy.

These Liberals, they don't actually give a damn about being government. They are the rulers.

WARNING TO RULERS: Rulers who take power under false pretense and abuse the nation they are stealing, those rulers end up in prison or dead. That's history.

Knowing Canada is a mess is too little too late

Alan Fryer is a retired journalist of the CTV TV news, and somebody I follow today on X, where @alanfryermedia comments about politics with the same point of view I saw on television. I admit there was a time when I enjoyed watching so-called mainstream media news. It was necessary to read between the lines, but journalists didn't make it impossible to see two-sides of a story in the old days.

Today, Fryer said, "Multiculturalism was a concept that once united and indeed defined Canada. The 'multiculturalism' on display in the streets of our major cities these days - the post-national variety of multiculturalism - is instead ripping at the very fabric of our country and testing our our national solidarity and identity. This will forever be the Trudeau legacy."

Canadian radio personality takes flack from Floridan on X

Prime Minister Mark Carney (@MarkJCarney) says on X, "Canada is the greatest nation on earth. Our destiny is to make it greater still."

Laura Babcock 🇨🇦, namely @LauraBabcock, says on X, "Canada’s PM Carney speaks of kindness as a virtue and doing the right thing even though it’s hard. America’s President Trump threatens to deport his own citizens and announces concentration camp. The contrast couldn’t be starker and I couldn’t be more proud to be Canadian." 🇨🇦

The end of ICE will be catastrophe in Canada

The estimates of economic ruin are inescapable

Banning the automobile gasoline and diesel engine is economic hari kiri

Kris Eriksen, in Canada @KEriksenV2 says, "So, now can we ALL agree that Canadians are in very, very, VERY DEEP trouble?"

"Hold my beer." says Prime Minister Carney:

Am I the only one who sees it?

Am I the only one who sees it?
