This isn’t about blaming a President for wanting to enforce law and order within his nation's borders. That is his responsibility. The concern lies closer to home.

Canada imports 75% of its fruit and 50% of its vegetables, so it is patently reckless for Canada's own leadership to posture and provoke without concept of the consequences. We are not the United States which can feed itself.

We cannot feed ourselves. We cannot even come close. We fall 50 percent or more short of feeding ourselves all year long.

Calgary, AB -- While Trump's second term reaches the eleventh month, the U.S.-Canada relationship isn't strained. It's muddied, messy, costly, and an exercise in economic sabotage and national soul-searching, on both sides, but Canada is finding it the most painful. Ottawa's halls of power used to echo climate threats, now it's tariff threats that have already cost billions, but the real rot festers from within: a federal government fumbling through political quagmire, a growing sense of Western alienation to surpass that of Quebec, and a sentiment metastasizing into outright separatism. (Metastasizing. Really spreading fast, usually medical vernacular. Grok needs to be more circumspect.)

The pain of Liberal progress

 

The Federal Liberals did not make progress on improving any environment because they did the exact opposite. (Not to mention, the environment is none of the Federal Liberals business.) They stopped progress on every path.
