Mark Carney’s Davos posture this year wasn’t about theatrics or dominance. It was a response to a Canada–U.S. relationship that has grown strained and unpredictable: tariffs biting into steel and aluminum, Greenland and NATO tensions radiating outward, and USMCA reviews hanging over Canada like, "a sword of Damocles." 

The old alliance feels less like a stabilizing anchor and more like a variable Canada can no longer assume will tilt in its favor. But the striking thing about Carney’s January 20, 2026 speech is not what he said. It’s what he didn’t say.

The Federal Liberals did not make progress on improving any environment because they did the exact opposite. (Not to mention, the environment is none of the Federal Liberals business.) They stopped progress on every path.

There's a lot of un-Canadian activity underway this election in Canada

Twelve Terrorist Sympathizers and 14 Chinese Communist Sympathizers out of a possible 150 Liberals in the HoC, basically 20 percent of the Liberal caucus has zero interest in Canada.

That's not a good thing.

Meanwhile, it appears to be a breach of protocol, and an abuse of authority, and a pathetic lack of etiquette in Canadian politics to have the Liberal Candidate Carney Premier-bashing on a foreign affairs matter while campaigning on bona fides of a head of state. Actually, he wasn't doing anything as dignified as 'bashing.' Carney was using the low-road bottom-feeder slap ya with a fish, false narratives in public. (See video below)
